Although foreign visitor numbers have recently declined, attractions like Victoria Falls and Great Zimbabwe highlight its diverse tourism appeal. With 8.6 million Belgians traveling abroad annually, there is potential interest in visiting Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe's safety for tourists, including those from Belgium, presents some concerns. While Belgium ranks 16th in the Global Peace Index, Zimbabwe is significantly lower at 119th out of 160 countries. The murder rate in Zimbabwe is notably higher at 6.1 per 100,000 people compared to Belgium's 1.1.
