Zambia is appealing to visitors from Egypt due to its stunning natural attractions and vibrant culture. The highlight is Victoria Falls, a renowned natural wonder that attracts adventure seekers and nature lovers. While it may not appeal to everyone, a segment of Egypt's 111 million population could find Zambia an intriguing travel destination.
Zambia is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those coming from Egypt. According to the Global Peace Index, Zambia ranks 55th out of 160 countries, which is significantly better than Egypt's ranking of 103rd. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Zambia is higher at 5.4 per 100,000 people compared to Egypt's 2.6. However, when looking at organized crime indices, both countries have similar scores for mafia groups (3.0), while Zambia has slightly lower scores for crime networks (5.0 vs. 5.5) and state crime (6.0 vs. 8.0). Overall, while Zambia has some challenges, it is perceived as a safer option for tourists compared to Egypt based on these indices and rankings. Travelers should always exercise caution and stay informed about local conditions.
