Vietnam presents an appealing option for Ukrainian travelers, featuring rich landscapes and a vibrant culture. While the country is in a recovery phase regarding foreign tourism, its infrastructure indicates readiness for visitors. With 11 million Ukrainians traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Vietnam an attractive destination.
Vietnam is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, Vietnam ranks 41st out of 160 countries, significantly safer than Ukraine, which ranks 156th. In terms of crime statistics, Vietnam has a lower murder rate of 1.5 per 100,000 people compared to Ukraine's 3.8. Additionally, while both countries have similar scores for organized crime (6.0 for mafia groups and 7.0 for crime networks), Vietnam tends to have lower scores in areas such as arms trafficking (4.0 in Vietnam vs. 8.0 in Ukraine). Overall, while no destination is without risk, Vietnam offers a safer environment for tourists compared to Ukraine.
