Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing option for international tourists. With around 700,000 Tunisians traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Ukraine an intriguing destination worth exploring.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to Tunisia. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while Tunisia ranks 72nd. In terms of murder rates, Tunisia has a rate of 4.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Ukraine's 3.8. Furthermore, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Ukraine faces significant challenges with organized crime, scoring higher in various categories such as mafia presence (6.0 for Ukraine vs. 1.0 for Tunisia) and state crime (8.0 for Ukraine vs. 5.5 for Tunisia). Overall, while both countries have their safety concerns, Tunisia is generally regarded as safer for tourists than Ukraine.
