Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for some of Libya's 7 million residents. The country has seen a rise in international tourism, positioning itself as a notable player in the global tourism market.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to Libya, according to the Global Peace Index, where Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while Libya ranks 126th. The murder rate in Ukraine is 3.8 per 100,000 people, with a female murder rate of 1.9. In terms of organized crime, Ukraine has a lower score (6.0) for mafia groups compared to Libya (8.0), but both countries face significant challenges with crime networks and human trafficking. Overall, while there are safety concerns in both countries, the situation in Ukraine may pose additional risks for tourists.
