Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for international tourists, including some travelers from China. With 20.3 million Chinese tourists traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Ukraine intriguing for its unique attractions.
Ukraine is currently ranked 156th out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index, indicating a lower level of safety compared to China, which is ranked 87th. The murder rate in Ukraine is 3.8 per 100,000 people, significantly higher than China's rate of 0.5. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index suggests that Ukraine has higher risks related to organized crime and state crime, with an index score of 8.0 for state crime compared to China's 7.0. Overall, while Ukraine has attractions for tourists, safety concerns, particularly in terms of crime rates and organized crime, make it less safe than China for visitors. Travelers from China should exercise caution and stay informed about the current situation before planning their visit to Ukraine.
