China offers a compelling mix of modern infrastructure, rich cultural heritage, and varied natural landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Ukrainian travelers. With approximately 11 million Ukrainians traveling abroad annually, a portion may find China an attractive option for their travels.
China is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, China ranks 87th out of 160 countries, while Ukraine is significantly lower at 156th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in China is notably lower at 0.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Ukraine's 3.8. Additionally, while organized crime indices indicate some challenges in both countries, China has lower scores in areas like arms trafficking (2.5) and foreign crime (3.0), suggesting a relatively safer environment in these aspects. Overall, while no destination is without risks, tourists from Ukraine may find China to be a safer option.
