Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for some Brazilian travelers. With 10.6 million Brazilians traveling abroad annually, there is potential interest in visiting Ukraine, which has increasingly positioned itself as a notable player in international tourism.
Ukraine's safety for tourists from Brazil is a complex issue. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, indicating a lower level of safety compared to Brazil, which ranks 129th. In terms of murder rates, Ukraine has a significantly lower rate at 3.8 per 100,000 people compared to Brazil's 22.5. However, organized crime indices suggest that both countries face challenges. For instance, Ukraine scores 6.0 for mafia groups and 7.0 for crime networks, while Brazil scores higher at 7.5 and 6.5, respectively. Overall, while Ukraine has lower murder rates, its overall safety ranking is poorer than Brazil's. Tourists should stay informed and exercise caution when traveling to Ukraine.
