Brazil offers a captivating blend of vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing option for Ukrainian travelers. With a robust tourism infrastructure that includes famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, it could attract a segment of the 11 million Ukrainians who travel abroad annually.
Brazil presents a mixed safety profile for tourists, including those from Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, which is safer than Ukraine's ranking of 156th. However, Brazil has a higher murder rate of 22.5 per 100,000 people compared to Ukraine's 3.8. In terms of organized crime, Brazil scores slightly worse than Ukraine in several categories, with a mafia group index of 7.5 for Brazil versus 6.0 for Ukraine. However, Brazil has a lower score for foreign crime (3.5) compared to Ukraine (6.0), indicating fewer issues with foreign criminal elements. Overall, while Brazil has higher crime rates, it is relatively safer than Ukraine in some aspects. Tourists should remain vigilant and take standard safety precautions while traveling in Brazil.
