Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for travelers. With around 1 million Azerbaijanis traveling abroad annually, a notable portion may find Ukraine an intriguing option for their travels.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to Azerbaijan. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while Azerbaijan is ranked 104th. The murder rate in Ukraine is 3.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Azerbaijan's 1.9. Additionally, various crime indices indicate that Ukraine faces higher levels of organized crime and state crime than Azerbaijan. For example, Ukraine has a crime network index of 7.0, while Azerbaijan's is 5.5. Overall, tourists from Azerbaijan should exercise caution when considering travel to Ukraine.
