Türkiye offers a unique blend of culture and history, making it an appealing destination for Vietnamese travelers. With its rich heritage and diverse landscapes, it attracts millions of international visitors each year. A segment of Vietnam's 98 million population may find Türkiye particularly interesting for tourism.
Türkiye's safety for tourists from Viet Nam presents some concerns. According to the Global Peace Index, Türkiye ranks 137th out of 160 countries, significantly lower than Viet Nam, which ranks 41st. The murder rate in Türkiye is 2.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Viet Nam's 1.5. Additionally, Türkiye faces challenges with organized crime, scoring worse on various indices, such as mafia groups (8.0 for Türkiye vs. 6.0 for Viet Nam) and state crime (9.0 for Türkiye vs. 7.0 for Viet Nam). While Türkiye offers rich cultural experiences, travelers should remain vigilant, especially when walking alone at night, as it ranks 31st among 40 European countries for safety in that regard. Overall, while many tourists visit Türkiye without incident, it is advisable for visitors from Viet Nam to stay informed and exercise caution.
