Saudi Arabia is becoming an increasingly appealing destination for visitors from Uzbekistan due to its rich cultural heritage and important religious sites. The country is actively diversifying its economy and investing in tourism infrastructure, which enhances its attractiveness. With 8.4 million Uzbekistanis traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Saudi Arabia an interesting option to explore.
Saudi Arabia's safety for tourists from Uzbekistan can be assessed through various indices. According to the Global Peace Index, Saudi Arabia ranks 100th out of 160 countries, while Uzbekistan is ranked 58th, indicating that Uzbekistan is considered safer overall. In terms of murder rates, Saudi Arabia has a lower rate at 0.8 per 100,000 people compared to Uzbekistan's 1.4. However, when looking at organized crime, Saudi Arabia has higher indices in several categories, such as state crime (8.0) and human trafficking (8.5), compared to Uzbekistan (7.0 and 7.5, respectively). Overall, while the murder rate in Saudi Arabia is lower, the higher organized crime indices suggest that tourists should remain cautious and informed when traveling there.
