Saudi Arabia is becoming an increasingly appealing destination for some of Mali's 23 million residents, thanks to its rich cultural heritage and important religious sites. The country's efforts to diversify its economy by investing in tourism infrastructure further enhance its attractiveness as a diverse travel destination.
Saudi Arabia is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Mali. According to the Global Peace Index, Saudi Arabia ranks 100th out of 160 countries, while Mali is ranked 151st. The murder rate in Saudi Arabia is notably low at 0.8 per 100,000 people, compared to the lack of available data for Mali.
