Nigeria is a vibrant and diverse country with a rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. However, it currently attracts a moderate number of tourists. It may appeal to a specific segment of Vietnam's population of 98 million.
Nigeria presents significant safety concerns for tourists, including those from Viet Nam. According to the Global Peace Index, Nigeria ranks 144th out of 160 countries, indicating a lower safety level compared to Viet Nam, which ranks 41st. The murder rate in Nigeria is notably high at 22.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Viet Nam's much lower rate of 1.5. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index highlights various crime challenges in Nigeria, with higher indices indicating more severe issues in areas such as crime networks (Nigeria: 9.0 vs. Viet Nam: 7.0) and arms trafficking (Nigeria: 8.0 vs. Viet Nam: 4.0). Overall, while travel is possible, tourists should exercise caution and stay informed about local conditions and safety measures when visiting Nigeria.
