Kazakhstan presents a growing appeal for Chinese visitors, highlighted by its diverse cultural landscapes and natural wonders. While it currently sees a modest number of tourists, the country has significant potential to attract some of the 20.3 million Chinese travelers who go abroad annually.
Kazakhstan is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those from China. According to the Global Peace Index, Kazakhstan ranks 57th out of 160 countries, making it safer than China, which is ranked 87th. While the murder rate in Kazakhstan is higher at 3.2 per 100,000 people compared to China's 0.5, the overall crime environment appears more favorable in Kazakhstan based on organized crime indices.
