According to the Global Peace Index, Jordan ranks 65th out of 160 countries, which is significantly safer than Ethiopia, which ranks 142nd. In terms of crime statistics, Jordan has a murder rate of 1.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Ethiopia's rate of 8.8. Additionally, female murders in Jordan are reported at 0.6, while data for Ethiopia is not available. The Global Organized Crime Index also indicates that Jordan has lower scores in various crime categories compared to Ethiopia. For instance, Jordan scores better in mafia groups (1.5 vs. 2.0) and resource crime (1.5 vs. 5.5).
