Jordan's stunning landscapes and rich history make it an appealing destination for international tourists. With its iconic sites like Petra and the Dead Sea, it attracts travelers from various backgrounds. Among the 300,000 Algerians who travel abroad annually, a portion may find Jordan to be an intriguing option.
Jordan is considered relatively safe for tourists, including those from Algeria. According to the Global Peace Index, Jordan ranks 65th out of 160 countries, which is safer than Algeria, ranked 88th. The murder rates also reflect this: Jordan has a murder rate of 1.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Algeria's 1.6. In terms of organized crime, Jordan has slightly higher indices in some categories compared to Algeria, but overall, it remains a safer destination.
