Italy is highly appealing to visitors from Uzbekistan due to its rich history, culture, and iconic cities like Rome, Venice, and Florence. With 8.4 million Uzbekistanis traveling abroad annually, a significant number may be inclined to explore Italy as a travel destination.
Italy is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Uzbekistan. According to the Global Peace Index, Italy ranks 33rd out of 160 countries, indicating a relatively high level of safety, especially compared to Uzbekistan, which ranks 58th. In terms of crime statistics, Italy has a lower murder rate at 0.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Uzbekistan's 1.4. Furthermore, while Italy faces challenges with organized crime, its indices suggest that Uzbekistan has higher levels of state crime and human trafficking. However, it's important to note that Italy ranks 34th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, which suggests that tourists should remain vigilant, especially in certain areas. Overall, while there are risks, Italy is safer than Uzbekistan in many respects, making it a viable destination for Uzbek tourists.
