Indonesia offers a captivating mix of cultural heritage and natural beauty, making it an appealing destination for international travelers. With its tranquil beaches, lush jungles, and volcanic landscapes, alongside vibrant cities, it could attract a segment of the 11 million Ukrainians who travel abroad annually.
Indonesia is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, Indonesia ranks 47th out of 160 countries, indicating a relatively peaceful environment, especially compared to Ukraine, which ranks 156th. In terms of crime statistics, Indonesia has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.6 per 100,000 people, compared to Ukraine's 3.8. While both countries face challenges with organized crime, the overall safety indicators suggest that Indonesia presents a safer option for travelers. It's advisable for tourists to remain aware of their surroundings and take standard safety precautions, as they would in any foreign country.
