Guinea presents an appealing option for some visitors from Côte d'Ivoire, thanks to its diverse natural landscapes and vibrant cultures. Although it ranks lower in global tourism receipts, the country offers unique and authentic experiences that could attract a segment of the Ivorian population.
Guinea's safety for tourists compared to Côte d'Ivoire shows some concerns. According to the Global Peace Index, Guinea ranks 122nd out of 160 countries, which is lower than Côte d'Ivoire's rank of 107th. The Global Organized Crime Index indicates that while Guinea has lower scores in some areas, such as mafia groups (Guinea 1.0 vs. Côte d'Ivoire 3.0), it ranks worse in state crime (Guinea 8.0 vs. Côte d'Ivoire 7.0) and human trafficking (Guinea 7.0 vs. Côte d'Ivoire 6.5). Overall, while Guinea has certain lower crime indices, it is generally considered less safe than Côte d'Ivoire for tourists. Caution is advised when traveling to Guinea.
