Georgia offers significant appeal to some segments of Lebanon's population, thanks to its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Despite recent fluctuations in international visitor numbers, the country's charm continues to attract a diverse range of tourists.
Georgia is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Lebanon. According to the Global Peace Index, Georgia ranks 98th out of 160 countries, while Lebanon ranks 132nd. Both countries have similar murder rates at 1.9 per 100,000 people, but Georgia has lower indices for organized crime. For example, Georgia scores significantly better in areas such as mafia groups (2.5 vs. 6.0), crime networks (3.0 vs. 7.0), and state crime (3.0 vs. 9.5). Overall, tourists from Lebanon can expect a safer environment in Georgia.
