The United Kingdom is a prominent and diverse tourist destination, celebrated for its extensive history, culture, and picturesque landscapes. A portion of the 11 million Ukrainians who travel abroad annually may find the UK appealing as a travel destination.
The United Kingdom is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, the UK ranks 34th out of 160 countries, indicating a relatively high level of safety, especially when compared to Ukraine, which ranks 156th. While the UK ranks 37th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, it is still significantly safer than Ukraine. In terms of organized crime, the UK has lower indices in several categories compared to Ukraine, suggesting a safer environment for tourists. Overall, while the UK has its challenges, it remains a safer option for visitors compared to Ukraine.
