China offers a compelling mix of modern infrastructure, rich cultural heritage, and varied natural landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Bahraini travelers. With around 500,000 Bahrainis traveling abroad annually, a portion of them may find China an attractive option.
China is generally safe for tourists, but it has a slightly lower safety ranking compared to Bahrain. According to the Global Peace Index, China ranks 87th out of 160 countries, while Bahrain ranks 79th. In terms of crime statistics, Bahrain has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.1 per 100,000 people compared to China's 0.5. Organized crime indices also indicate that Bahrain fares better in various categories, such as mafia groups and crime networks, where it scores 1.0 and 6.0 respectively, compared to China's 7.0 and 7.5. Overall, while China is a popular destination for tourists, travelers from Bahrain should remain aware of their surroundings and take standard safety precautions.
