Bahrain offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern attractions, making it an appealing destination for some Chinese travelers. With 2.2 million international visitors annually, its vibrant markets and rich cultural heritage can attract a portion of the 20.3 million Chinese tourists who travel abroad each year.
Bahrain is considered relatively safe for tourists, including those from China. According to the Global Peace Index, Bahrain ranks 79th out of 160 countries, which is better than China's ranking of 87th. In terms of crime statistics, Bahrain has a lower murder rate of 0.1 per 100,000 people, compared to China's 0.5. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Bahrain has a significantly lower score for mafia groups (1.0) and state crime (4.0) compared to China (7.0 and 7.0, respectively). While there are some areas of concern, such as human trafficking and certain organized crime activities, overall, Bahrain presents a safer environment for tourists than China based on these metrics.
