Canada offers a unique blend of cultural charm and natural beauty, making it an appealing destination for many. Although there has been a recent decline in tourist arrivals, it still attracts millions of international visitors annually. A segment of Burkina Faso's population of 23 million may find Canada particularly interesting.
Canada is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Burkina Faso. According to the Global Peace Index, Canada ranks 11th out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety compared to Burkina Faso, which ranks 146th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Canada is 2.1 per 100,000 people, while Burkina Faso has a lower rate of 1.3. However, Canada has lower indices for organized crime, with a state crime index of 2.0 compared to Burkina Faso's 6.5, and a human trafficking index of 3.5 versus Burkina Faso's 6.0. Overall, while no place is entirely free of crime, Canada offers a safer environment for tourists compared to Burkina Faso.
