Brazil offers a rich blend of vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Congolese visitors. Its well-developed tourism infrastructure supports a variety of attractions, including famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, which may attract a segment of the 6 million people in Congo.
Brazil presents certain safety concerns for tourists, including those from Congo. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, indicating a lower level of safety compared to Congo, which ranks 108th. In terms of crime statistics, Brazil has a murder rate of 22.5 per 100,000 people, with a female murder rate of 3.5. While specific murder rates for Congo are not available, the comparative context suggests that Brazil has significant safety challenges. The Global Organized Crime Index further highlights these issues, with Brazil scoring 7.5 for mafia groups and 8.5 for state crime, indicating a higher prevalence of organized crime compared to Congo. Additionally, Brazil has a notably high score of 9.0 for cocaine trade, reflecting serious drug-related crime concerns. Overall, while Brazil offers many attractions, tourists should remain vigilant and informed about safety risks.
