Yemen offers a unique appeal for some Iranian travelers due to its rich history and stunning landscapes. While the country faces significant challenges, it may attract a portion of the 1.6 million Iranians who travel abroad annually.
Yemen is currently considered a very unsafe destination for tourists, including those coming from Iran. According to the Global Peace Index, Yemen ranks last at 160th out of 160 countries, while Iran is ranked 131st. The murder rate in Yemen is significantly higher at 6.8 per 100,000 people compared to Iran's 2.2. Additionally, Yemen's scores for human trafficking (8.5) and arms trafficking (9.0) are concerning. Overall, due to the high levels of violence and organized crime, Yemen is not a safe destination for tourists.
