Vietnam presents a compelling destination for some of Qatar's 3 million residents, featuring lush landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. While foreign tourist numbers are still rebounding, the country's tourism infrastructure indicates strong potential for growth and appeal.
Vietnam is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, ranking 41st out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index. However, it is slightly less safe compared to Qatar, which ranks 29th. In terms of crime statistics, Qatar has a significantly lower murder rate at 0.3 per 100,000 people, while Vietnam's rate is 1.5. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Qatar performs better in various crime categories, including mafia presence and organized crime networks, with lower scores indicating less crime. While Vietnam has some challenges, it remains a popular tourist destination, and visitors from Qatar can generally expect a safe experience if they take standard precautions.
