Vietnam presents a compelling destination for a segment of Kuwait's 4 million population, showcasing rich landscapes and a vibrant culture. Although foreign tourist numbers are currently low as the country recovers from global disruptions, its tourism infrastructure indicates strong potential for growth and appeal.
Vietnam is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Kuwait. According to the Global Peace Index, Vietnam ranks 41st out of 160 countries, indicating a relatively safe environment, although it is not as safe as Kuwait, which ranks 25th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Vietnam is 1.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Kuwait's low rate of 0.3. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index shows that while Kuwait has lower scores across various crime categories, Vietnam's scores indicate some challenges, particularly in areas such as mafia influence and human trafficking. Overall, while Vietnam is safe for tourists, visitors should remain aware of their surroundings and take standard safety precautions.
