Vietnam presents an appealing option for visitors from Kyrgyzstan, featuring lush landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. While the country is in a recovery phase regarding foreign tourism, its infrastructure is well-prepared for visitors. With approximately 1.8 million Kyrgyz nationals traveling abroad annually, there is potential interest among them in exploring Vietnam.
Vietnam is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Kyrgyzstan. According to the Global Peace Index, Vietnam ranks 41st out of 160 countries, indicating a relatively high level of safety compared to Kyrgyzstan, which ranks 75th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Vietnam is slightly lower than in Kyrgyzstan, with 1.5 murders per 100,000 people in Vietnam compared to 1.7 in Kyrgyzstan. However, when looking at organized crime indices, both countries have challenges, but Vietnam's scores are generally comparable or slightly worse in certain areas, such as human and fauna crime. Overall, while no destination is without risks, Vietnam is statistically safer for tourists than Kyrgyzstan.
