Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for international tourists. With 1.2 million Nepalese traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Ukraine an intriguing option for their travels.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to Nepal. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while Nepal is ranked 78th. Additionally, the murder rate in Ukraine is higher at 3.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Nepal's 2.1. Crime statistics from the Global Organized Crime Index further indicate that Ukraine faces significant challenges, with higher scores in various crime categories, including mafia presence and organized crime networks, where Ukraine scores 6.0 and 7.0 respectively, compared to Nepal's 4.5 and 6.5. Overall, while travel is possible, potential tourists from Nepal should exercise caution and stay informed about the current situation in Ukraine.
