Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for some travelers from Kyrgyzstan. With 1.8 million Kyrgyzstani citizens traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Ukraine an interesting choice for their travels.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to Kyrgyzstan. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while Kyrgyzstan ranks 75th. The murder rate in Ukraine is 3.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Kyrgyzstan's 1.7. Additionally, various crime indices indicate that Ukraine faces higher levels of organized crime and violence. For instance, Ukraine has a higher score for mafia groups (6.0) and crime networks (7.0) than Kyrgyzstan (5.5 and 6.5, respectively). Overall, while travel to Ukraine is possible, tourists from Kyrgyzstan should exercise caution and stay informed about the current situation.
