Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for some of Kenya's 54 million residents. The country has seen a growing influx of international tourists, positioning itself as a notable player in global tourism.
Ukraine is currently ranked 156th out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index, indicating it is less safe than Kenya, which ranks 120th. In terms of murder rates, Kenya has a rate of 5.3 per 100,000 people, while Ukraine's rate is lower at 3.8. Crime statistics from the Global Organized Crime Index show that both countries face challenges, but Kenya generally has higher indices for organized crime, with scores of 7.0 to 8.0, compared to Ukraine's scores of 6.0 to 8.0. Overall, while Ukraine's murder rate is lower than Kenya's, the overall safety perception and crime indices suggest that tourists from Kenya should exercise caution when considering travel to Ukraine.
