Ukraine offers a rich cultural and historical experience, making it an appealing destination for international tourists. With 6.3 million Emiratis traveling abroad annually, a portion of them may find Ukraine an intriguing option for their travels.
Ukraine is currently considered less safe for tourists compared to the United Arab Emirates. According to the Global Peace Index, Ukraine ranks 156th out of 160 countries, while the UAE ranks 52nd. The murder rate in Ukraine is 3.8 per 100,000 people, significantly higher than the UAE's rate of 0.5. Additionally, crime statistics indicate that Ukraine faces challenges with organized crime, with higher indices across various categories compared to the UAE. For example, Ukraine has a mafia group index of 6.0 compared to the UAE's 1.0, and state crime is rated at 8.0 in Ukraine versus 6.0 in the UAE. Overall, tourists from the UAE should exercise caution when considering travel to Ukraine.
