Tanzania is an appealing destination for some of Qatar's 3 million residents, thanks to its stunning landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage. With attractions like Mount Kilimanjaro and Serengeti National Park, it offers adventure, leisure, and cultural experiences that can attract international tourists.
Tanzania is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, ranking 63rd out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index. However, it is less safe compared to Qatar, which ranks 29th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Tanzania is 3.7 per 100,000 people, significantly higher than Qatar's rate of 0.3. Female murder rates also reflect this trend, with Tanzania at 1.7 compared to Qatar's 0.5. The Global Organized Crime Index indicates that while Tanzania has some organized crime issues, it is still less severe than in many other regions. For instance, mafia groups in Tanzania score 3.0, whereas Qatar scores 1.0. Other crime indices show that Tanzania faces challenges with crime networks (7.0), human trafficking (6.5), and fauna crime (8.0), but these are still manageable for tourists. Overall, while tourists from Qatar should exercise caution and stay informed, Tanzania can be a safe and enjoyable destination with proper precautions.
