Tajikistan offers a unique and diverse tourism experience, characterized by its stunning mountainous landscapes. While it remains a less popular travel destination, it is gradually gaining recognition in international tourism. With 4.8 million Saudis traveling abroad annually, there is potential for a segment of this population to find Tajikistan an intriguing option for their travels.
Tajikistan is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those from Saudi Arabia. According to the Global Peace Index, Tajikistan ranks 69th out of 160 countries, making it safer than Saudi Arabia, which ranks 100th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rates are similar, with Tajikistan at 0.9 per 100,000 people and Saudi Arabia at 0.8. Female murder rates are lower in Tajikistan (0.2) compared to Saudi Arabia (0.3). The Global Organized Crime Index indicates that while Tajikistan has some challenges, it generally fares better in certain areas of organized crime compared to Saudi Arabia.
