Thailand offers a vibrant culture, warm hospitality, rich history, enticing cuisine, and beautiful beaches, making it an appealing destination for some Jordanian travelers. With around 800,000 Jordanians traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Thailand an interesting option, despite the country having a modest ranking in overall tourist arrivals.
Thailand is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, ranking 73rd out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index. However, it is slightly less safe than Jordan, which ranks 65th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Thailand is 4.9 per 100,000 people, compared to Jordan's much lower rate of 1.0. Additionally, while both countries have similar scores for mafia groups (1.5), Thailand faces higher challenges with crime networks (5.0) and foreign crime (7.5) compared to Jordan's scores of 7.0 and 4.5, respectively. Overall, while Thailand is a popular tourist destination, travelers from Jordan should remain aware of the local safety conditions and exercise caution.
