Seychelles is an appealing destination for Turkish travelers, thanks to its breathtaking islands, pristine beaches, and lush landscapes. Annually, the archipelago attracts around 200,000 international visitors, drawn by its natural beauty and luxury offerings. With 2.7 million Turks traveling abroad each year, a segment of this population may find Seychelles to be an attractive option for their vacations.
Seychelles is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Türkiye. However, it's important to note that Seychelles has a higher murder rate (4.7 per 100,000) compared to Türkiye (2.5 per 100,000). Additionally, female murders are notably higher in Seychelles (5.4) compared to Türkiye (1.0). In terms of organized crime, Türkiye has higher indices in various categories, indicating more significant issues with mafia groups and organized crime networks. For instance, Türkiye scores 8.0 for mafia groups, while Seychelles scores 2.0, suggesting a lower presence of such groups in Seychelles. While there are some concerns regarding safety, many tourists visit Seychelles without incident. It is advisable for travelers to remain vigilant and take standard safety precautions while enjoying their visit.
