Seychelles is an appealing destination for some Slovenian travelers, thanks to its breathtaking islands, beautiful beaches, and clear waters. With approximately 2.1 million Slovenians traveling abroad annually, a portion may be drawn to the unique natural beauty and luxurious experience that Seychelles offers.
Seychelles is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Slovenia, but there are important factors to consider. While Slovenia ranks 2nd in safety for walking alone at night among European countries and 9th globally according to the Global Peace Index, Seychelles has a higher murder rate of 4.7 per 100,000 people compared to Slovenia's 0.4. In terms of organized crime, Seychelles has a lower score for mafia groups (2.0) compared to Slovenia (3.0), indicating a relatively lower presence of organized crime. However, Seychelles does have higher rates of certain crimes, such as the heroin trade (7.5) and female murders (5.4), compared to Slovenia. Overall, while Seychelles is a popular tourist destination, travelers should remain vigilant and informed about their surroundings.
