Qatar offers a compelling mix of modernity and cultural heritage, complemented by its stunning desert and urban scenery. Although it sees a moderate number of tourists, its high tourist spending per visitor highlights its appeal as a premium destination. Given that around 100,000 Chadians travel abroad annually, some may find Qatar an attractive option for their travels.
Qatar is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those coming from Chad. According to the Global Peace Index, Qatar ranks 29th out of 160 countries, significantly safer than Chad, which ranks 133rd. In terms of crime statistics, Qatar has a very low murder rate of 0.3 per 100,000 people, compared to Chad, where data is not available. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Qatar has lower risks associated with organized crime, with a mafia group index of 1.0 (best) versus Chad's 5.5 (moderate). Overall, tourists from Chad can expect a safer environment in Qatar, with lower crime rates and a more stable security situation.
