While it sees a moderate number of tourists, it attracts high spending per visitor, making it an appealing high-value destination. Qatar is considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those coming from Oman. According to the Global Peace Index, Qatar ranks 29th out of 160 countries, making it safer than Oman, which ranks 37th.
