Pakistan offers a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Vietnamese travelers. With its evolving tourism infrastructure, including nearly 3,000 hotels on TripAdvisor, it is increasingly capable of accommodating a variety of visitors. This diverse appeal could attract a segment of Vietnam's 98 million population.
Pakistan's safety for tourists from Vietnam can be assessed through various indices. According to the Global Peace Index, Pakistan ranks 138th out of 160 countries, significantly lower than Vietnam's ranking of 41st. In terms of murder rates, Pakistan has a rate of 4.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Vietnam's much lower rate of 1.5. The Global Organized Crime Index provides further insights, showing that both countries have similar scores for mafia groups (6.0), but Pakistan generally fares worse in several categories, such as human trafficking (8.0) and arms trafficking (8.0), compared to Vietnam's scores of 6.5 and 4.0, respectively. Overall, while tourists can visit Pakistan, they should be aware of the security situation and take necessary precautions.
