Pakistan offers a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Kuwaiti travelers. Its tourism infrastructure is improving, with around 3,000 hotels available on TripAdvisor, indicating a capacity to cater to various visitor needs. This makes it potentially attractive to a segment of Kuwait's 4 million population.
Pakistan's safety for tourists, particularly those coming from Kuwait, can be considered a concern based on various safety indices. According to the Global Peace Index, Pakistan ranks 138th out of 160 countries, indicating lower safety compared to Kuwait, which ranks 25th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Pakistan is significantly higher at 4.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Kuwait's low rate of 0.3. The Global Organized Crime Index also shows that Pakistan has higher scores in various crime categories, indicating more significant issues with organized crime and safety. For instance, Pakistan scores 6.0 for mafia groups and 7.5 for crime networks, while Kuwait scores 1.0 and 6.0, respectively. Overall, while tourism is possible in Pakistan, travelers should exercise caution and stay informed about the local situation.
