Pakistan offers a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Bangladeshi travelers. With its evolving tourism infrastructure, including nearly 3,000 hotels on TripAdvisor, it can accommodate a variety of visitors. This attractiveness may resonate with a segment of Bangladesh's 171 million population.
Pakistan's safety for tourists, including those from Bangladesh, is a concern. The Global Peace Index ranks Pakistan 138th out of 160 countries, indicating a less safe environment compared to Bangladesh, which ranks 91st. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Pakistan is 4.0 per 100,000 people, higher than Bangladesh's rate of 2.4. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index shows that Pakistan generally has higher indices for various types of crime, including organized crime and human trafficking. While tourism is possible, travelers should remain vigilant and informed about the local situation and travel advisories.
