New Zealand is an appealing destination for visitors from Vietnam, thanks to its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Although the number of foreign tourists varies, the spending habits of those who do visit indicate significant opportunities in the tourism sector. This makes New Zealand particularly attractive to a segment of Vietnam's 98 million population.
New Zealand is considered one of the safest countries for tourists, ranking 4th out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index, significantly safer than Viet Nam, which ranks 41st. While the murder rate in New Zealand is slightly higher at 2.6 per 100,000 people compared to Viet Nam's 1.5, overall crime rates and organized crime indices indicate a safer environment in New Zealand. For example, New Zealand scores better in various crime categories, including state crime and human trafficking. Overall, tourists from Viet Nam can expect a safe experience in New Zealand.
