1 mission of Nauru in Israel: Consulate of Nauru in Tel Aviv, Israel. Addresses, phones and contacts.
Head of mission: Mr. David Ben-Basat, Honorary Consul (confirmed in the diplomatic list of Israel, 1 Apr 2023)
Nauru offers a unique tourism experience shaped by its geographical limitations and rich culture. While the island has a limited selection of hotels, it could appeal to a segment of the 3 million Israelis who travel abroad annually, making it an intriguing option for some visitors from Israel.
Nauru is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Israel. While Israel has a higher crime index and a Global Peace Index ranking of 152nd out of 160 countries, there is limited crime data available for Nauru. According to the Global Organized Crime Index, Nauru scores significantly lower than Israel across various crime categories, indicating a lower prevalence of organized crime. For example, Nauru has a mafia group index of 1.0 compared to Israel's 5.5, and similarly low scores in other categories such as human trafficking and drug trade. Overall, while tourists should always exercise standard safety precautions, Nauru appears to be a safer destination compared to Israel based on the available data.
