Nepal, located in the Himalayas, boasts a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural scenery that appeals to many travelers. Despite facing challenges in attracting a steady stream of international visitors recently, it remains an appealing destination for a segment of Kuwait's 4 million population.
Nepal is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, ranking 78th out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index. However, it is not as safe as Kuwait, which ranks 25th. In terms of crime statistics, Kuwait has a significantly lower murder rate at 0.3 per 100,000 people compared to Nepal's 2.1. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Kuwait performs better across various crime categories, such as mafia groups (1.0 for Kuwait vs. 4.5 for Nepal) and state crime (6.0 for Kuwait vs. 8.5 for Nepal). While tourists from Kuwait can visit Nepal safely, they should remain aware of their surroundings and take standard precautions, as the crime rates are higher than in Kuwait.
