The Netherlands is an appealing destination for some visitors from Samoa, thanks to its famous canals, tulip fields, windmills, and historic cities. With a unique mix of urban sophistication and rustic charm, it attracts millions annually. Given that around 100,000 Samoans travel abroad each year, a portion may find the Netherlands particularly interesting to visit.
The Netherlands is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Samoa. It ranks 9th out of 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night. Additionally, the Global Peace Index places the Netherlands 18th among 160 countries worldwide, indicating a relatively peaceful environment. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in the Netherlands is notably low at 0.7 per 100,000 people, compared to Samoa's rate of 6.6. Organized crime indices also reflect a higher level of organized crime in Samoa compared to the Netherlands, with the latter scoring worse in categories like crime networks and drug trafficking. Overall, while no specific data exists for tourists from Samoa, the Netherlands is regarded as a safe and welcoming place for visitors.
