Nigeria offers a vibrant and diverse experience, showcasing rich culture and stunning landscapes. However, it currently attracts a moderate number of tourists. It may appeal to a segment of the 4 million Kuwaitis, making it an intriguing option for some visitors.
Nigeria presents significant safety concerns for tourists, particularly when compared to Kuwait. The Global Peace Index ranks Nigeria 144th out of 160 countries, indicating a lower level of safety than Kuwait, which ranks 25th. Crime statistics reveal stark differences: Kuwait has a murder rate of 0.3 per 100,000 people, while Nigeria's rate is much higher at 22.0. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index shows that Nigeria scores poorly on various crime-related metrics, with indices indicating higher risks in areas such as organized crime (5.5), crime networks (9.0), and arms trafficking (8.0), compared to Kuwait's lower scores. Overall, tourists from Kuwait should exercise caution when considering travel to Nigeria due to these safety concerns.
