Morocco is a compelling destination for some of the 23 million people in Burkina Faso, offering a rich cultural experience, historical cities, and stunning landscapes. Its unique charm and vibrant culture make it appealing for those interested in international travel.
Morocco is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those from Burkina Faso. According to the Global Peace Index, Morocco ranks 76th out of 160 countries, significantly better than Burkina Faso, which ranks 146th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Morocco is 1.9 per 100,000 people, slightly higher than Burkina Faso's rate of 1.3. However, Morocco has a lower rate of female murders at 0.5 compared to the lack of available data for Burkina Faso. The Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Morocco has a lower risk of organized crime, with scores of 1.0 for mafia groups and 3.0 for arms and resource trafficking, compared to Burkina Faso's higher scores in these categories. Overall, while no destination is without risks, Morocco is relatively safer for tourists than Burkina Faso based on these metrics.
